The Anointing of the Sick

By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them and indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ.

If you are preparing to enter the hospital or to undergo surgery, please let Fr. Pastor know so that your sacramental needs may be cared for in a timely manner.  Annunciation BVM Parish is responsible for sacramental needs at Bryn Mawr Hospital on a rotating basis with several other parishes.

Annually we are working on having the Annointing of the Sick within Mass.  Please contact the office if you are willing to help organize this.
