Saturday, September 26, 2015—7:30 PM

Pope Francis will attend the Festival of Families for approximately 60-90 minutes on Saturday evening at this extraordinary event on the Ben Franklin Parkway.  We expect His Holiness to be with us beginning at 7:30 pm, but that could change slightly.  There will be catechesis, song, dance, and prayer throughout the late afternoon up until the time when Pope Francis arrives and the more formal program begins.  There will be some reserved seating and standing areas and other areas open to the public.

Sunday, September 27, 2015 4:00 PM

Pope Francis will celebrate Mass for upward of 1.5 million people on the Ben Franklin Parkway.  The time for the Mass is 4 PM to allow enough of a window for Masses to take place in the parishes and for our priests to make their way to center city as well as for Pope Francis to make some other visits in our Archdiocese.

Annunciation BVM Parish will run buses to the historic visit to Philadelphia by Pope Francis!

Two buses will take people to the Festival of Families Saturday, Sept. 26 and two buses will take

people to the Papal Mass on Sunday, Sept. 27. Both buses will leave from Annunciation Parish.

Cost $30 (per seat/per day).  This is first come first served sign up for ABVM parishioners.

So please sign up as soon as possible!

Make checks payable to ABVM Church.

See church bulletin for the form for buses.

Parish Mission Statement

As the parish of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we embrace the four elements that formed the early Christian Church found in the Acts of the Apostles, namely we dedicate ourselves to the Apostles' Teaching, the Communal Life, to the Breaking of The Bread, and to the Prayers.  We do this and fully embody our mission to "Go out to all the world and tell the Good News", allowing the New Evangelization to take firm root in our lives.
